As a denturist, Shannon not only takes the measurements and molds of her clients, but she also makes the dentures herself in an onsite laboratory. That means they are not sent out to a lab to be made or adjusted. "I have a one on one connection with my clients, eliminating the possibility of a communication error with a third party. If changes need to be made to a denture design I can often make the changes chair side for a more efficient experience," explains Shannon.
Shannon is a stickler for detail, and believes in taking the time to do things right the first time, reducing or eliminating the need for adjustments after the fact. She develops a good rapport with her clients so that they feel comfortable talking to her about their concerns.
Shannon has been a dedicated Denturist in Durham Region for over 12 years. Shannon graduated with honours from George Brown College in 2002. Over time, your mouth will change and your dentures may not fit properly anymore. If your dentures don’t fit properly, you can end up with sore spots in your mouth. It is important to have your mouth and dentures checked on a regular basis. When you bring your dentures to Lakeridge Denture Clinic, Shannon can access the fit and function of your dentures and offer a personalized treatment plan for optimum success. Shannon offers a wide range of denture solutions to meet the needs of her patients.
Implant supported dentures are becoming more popular these days. "Implant systems are the best denture solution to keep a denture from moving in your mouth," says Shannon. If you have opted for implant supported dentures, Shannon can work with your oral surgeon to create comfortable and aesthetically pleasing teeth that you will love to wear.
